As leaders of innovation in neurotechnology, we enable the development of new therapies: we either develop and produce individual components such as electrodes and encapsulations, or we create active implantable systems that can translate neuronal information from the human body into control signals for therapeutic applications.

Brain Stimulation

Since the 1990s electrical brain stimulation has been used successfully for the treatment of neurological diseases, in particular motor disorders like Morbus Parkinson or dystonia.

Bioelectronic Medicine

A variety of serious chronic diseases are controlled by the nervous system. Activating or inhibiting peripheral nerves can affect a variety of body functions.

Presurgical Diagnostics

Some brain diseases may require surgical removal of the affected parts of the brain. Examples of such cases include pharmacologically resistant epilepsy and brain tumors.

Spinal Cord Stimulation

Certain types of chronic pain are caused by irritation of the nervous system. These so-called neuropathic pains often manifest as pain in the lower back or the legs.

Brain-Computer Interface (BCI)

Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) hold great fascination for technology and science. In medicine, they refer to systems that detect neural activity and use it as a trigger for certain medically relevant actions.

CorTec Brain Interchange ONE joins the scope of our competences interconnecting the neural system to artificial intelligence.

The fully implantable system for recording and stimulation both on 32 channels enables open and closed loop interaction with the nervous system.
