One year ago we moved into our new building close to Freiburg Fairground. After a short period of settling in and setting up in the new environment, we put the new location into operation step by step over the last few months. Time for a brief review.
In August 2018, 38 employees at two locations were able to pack the moving boxes and move into the just-finished building. After this our Development, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, Administration, Marketing and Sales departments were united in the new building.
At that time, the production could not yet move in because the new production environment was not yet fully set up and qualified. In the first few months, new equipment was added every week and calibrated step by step.
The ways in the building seemed surprisingly long at the beginning. The pedometers of various colleagues ran at full speed during the day, making it obsolete to do sport in leisure time.
After we had settled into the new building, the preparations for the official inauguration ceremony began. On October 18 of 2018, friends and partners from the region came together with representatives of public life and the university to get to know our new premises and to celebrate the next step of our development as a company with us.
After some time in the new building our everyday working life felt as if we had always been here. Except for one small thing: the coffee. It took quite a number of coffee machines to find the final solution.
In spring of 2019, our Symposium & Key Opinion Leader Workshop was the first event to which we invited customers and partners to our new premises. Around 50 guests from all over the world took the opportunity to take a look, get to know our team and – above all – to discuss the next steps in the development of personalized therapies.
By summer 2019 our team has grown to about 60 employees. The qualification of the clean room will be completed shortly, so that we can transfer all production steps here. Our complete team is united at one location and is already working on the next innovations.
